A cement-free future: Flexible laboratory mixing plant for synthetic mineral materials
Sustainability and CO₂ reduction are becoming increasingly important in materials development. A modern laboratory mixing plant demonstrates how synthetic mineral materials, ceramics and artificial stones can be produced entirely without cement – in an energy-efficient, recyclable manner and at low temperatures.
Flexible plant concept for laboratory applications
The complete mixing plant installed was designed specifically for research and development processes. Extensive mixing trials were carried out in advance using a KKM L laboratory mixer (100 litres). The aim is to produce innovative, cement-free materials without CO₂ emissions and without energy-intensive firing.
Ergonomic and versatile material feeding
The plant offers maximum flexibility in terms of feeding:

Big bag emptying station with pre-silo and integrated crane

Three bag feeding hoppers with extraction and filtration

Pneumatic lifting table for ergonomic working
This allows different materials to be processed quickly and cleanly.
Highest mixing quality with cone mixer
The central element is the KNIELE KKM250/375 cone mixer with ceramic lining and frequency converters. It enables:

An integrated forced dust extraction system also ensures a clean working environment.
Precise dosing and intelligently integrated recycling
Small components and chemical additives are dosed with high precision – including via mobile small-component silos fitted with dosing screws and digital displays.
An integrated recycling system allows material to be returned to the process or into IBC containers. A closed-loop system ensures minimal losses and maximum sustainability.
